The National Service Scheme was started by the Government of India in the year 1969, the birth centennial of Mahatma Gandhi, with the intention that social responsibility, consciousness, self-motivated discipline, and respect for labor should arise in the students associated with higher education. Students should do social service to make good use of their free time and leisure and can also do interviews with real situations for the completion of their education. So that their personality develops.
The National Service Scheme in this college was started in 1982-83 as 100 (hundred) common units. Volunteers who complete the course are given 'B' and 'C' certificates.
